今シーズン2回目（いや、もっと？）
ってことは、
もう完全に
仙台せり鍋の虜に

名物「せり鍋」は、
宮城県の特産品である
仙台せりを
贅沢に使用した
冬の郷土料理"せり鍋🍲"
食べました🙌

このお鍋の最大の特徴は、
葉や茎だけでなく、
長く伸びた白い

「根っこ」

まで丸ごと食べる点にあります。

せり鍋の最大の衝撃ポイントは
「根っこまでガッツリ食べる」
こと。

普通の地域だと
せりは葉と茎しか使わないけど、
仙台せりは
根が白くて太くて甘みがあって、

「実は根っこが本命」
らしいです。

有機栽培に変えたら
根っこが劇的に美味しくなった…
という農家さんの話もあって、
そこから一気に
広まった側面もあります。

🍲せり鍋の主な特徴🍲

なんといっても
『根を味わう文化』
仙台せりは
水耕栽培で丁寧に育てられているらしく
きれいに洗われた太い根っこは、
独特の強い香りと
シャキシャキとした食感、
そしてほんのりとした
甘みが楽しめます。

🍲具材と出汁🍲

一般的には
鶏肉や鴨肉をメインの具材とし、
醤油ベースの甘辛い出汁で
仕立てます。

肉の旨みがせりの風味をより

旬の時期は、
根が太く育つ
10月下旬から3月頃が
シーズンで、
特に寒さが増す冬の時期に
最も美味しくなるとされています。
